VCU Avian Ecology Lab

Our Research
In the Bulluck Lab, we study population ecology and behavior of birds, and strive to have a positive influence on the conservation and management of declining species.
In addition to birds, our research is often motivated by the concerns of private landowners who support the vast majority of wildlife in the eastern US.
Our research is collaborative through engagement with species working groups and regional partnerships. Our research is also interdisciplinary, spanning topics from remote sensing and landscape ecology to sexual selection and habitat quality in both breeding and tropical non-breeding locations.
